Our annual Spaghetti Bridge Competition, in support of Harvest Manitoba,
returns with a virtual option that will be LIVE today (Thursday, March 27, 2025) at 9:45 a.m.! Tune in to watch K - Grade 12 students compete to build the strongest truss using just spaghetti and white or wood glue, and then watch as we test it to destruction! PEGW 2025: All About Provincial Engineering and Geoscience Week
March is National Engineering and Geoscience Month, and the final week of NEGM is Professional Engineering and Geoscience Week (PEGW)
where Canadian youth discover what makes engineering and geoscience exciting, enjoyable, and engaging career paths.
Each year, EngGeoMB organizes hands-on events for the community to participate in PEGW, including free educational children's activities,
and the annual Spaghetti Bridge Competition in support of Harvest Manitoba.

Certificate of Authorization (CofA) Renewals
Certificate of
Authorizations are currently renewing for the period of
Thursday, May 1,
2025, to
Thursday, April 30, 2026. Renewal notices have been mailed
out to the listed authorized designates. All companies who hold a Certificate of
Authorization must submit their renewal payment by April 30, 2025. If the
company is no longer providing engineering and/or geoscience services within the
province of Manitoba, please complete and return the
cancellation
form. Renewal payments can be made
online
by credit card, submitting a cheque by mail, or by contacting the Association
office by phone at (204) 474-2736.
Registration Committee -
Committee Member
The Registration Committee is a committee of Council, responsible for conducting the final review
of applicants and interns moving forward towards final registration. The committee is currently
looking for a professional engineer, specifically in the area of
electrical engineering
to participate in monthly meetings to discuss assigned files, issues, and policy development.

Manitoba Schools Science Symposium (MSSS) -
Multiple Volunteers
MSSS is Manitoba's largest science fair and is taking place
Friday, April 11, 2205, to
Sunday, April 13, 2025,
at Maxbell Centre, University of Manitoba. MSSS showcases students from grades 4 to 12 and their projects for a chance to win
medals, awards, and scholarships. The Association is looking for volunteers to assist in judging engineering and geoscience
projects for the Association's Special Awards on
Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Volunteers can be a P.Eng., P.Geo., or an Intern with strong communication skills, ability to work well with others, and must be flexible.
