Did You Know?
A person cannot call themselves an engineer unless they are a member of EngGeoMB? The Engineering & Geoscientific Professions Act is the law in Manitoba restricting the use of the words engineer, engineering, geoscientist and geoscience. See Section 58 of the Act. No matter that a person has graduated from an engineering school or university, they cannot use the title engineer on a LinkedIn profile, web page, business card or in any form, unless first registering with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba. This is the law in every province of Canada.
