2022 By-law Proposals
After engagement with membership, through open engagement sessions and third-party
focus groups, review by the By-law Review Committee, drafting by legal counsel, and
further member engagement, Council has approved the list of by-law proposals for 2022.

Student Renewals Now Available Online
The 2022-2023 renewal period for students enrolled with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is now open.
Students are to log into their
online profile and review their anticipated graduation date,
personal preferences, and to provide the renewal payment. The student year runs from October 1 to September 30 annually.
Call for Women and Non-binary Mentors and Protegees for the Women in Engineering and Geoscience Mentorship Program
Registration is open for the 2022-2023 Women in Engineering and Geoscience Mentorship Program.
The program runs from October 2022 to March 2023 and is open to women and non-binary professionals, interns, and students.
While women are very underrepresented in engineering and geoscience, Two-Spirit and non-binary people
face similar issues related to gender underrepresentation. Two-Spirit and non-binary participants are therefore
welcomed and encouraged to participate in this program should it resonate with any of their overlapping experiences.

Financial Planning for Engineers Virtual Seminar

The Arab Members Chapter of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba
presents the Financial Planning for Engineers Virtual Seminar.
The goal of the presentation is to share knowledge on some general
financial planning practices, as well as some specific things
engineers should be aware of. It will review some basics of financial
planning and why they are important for anyone: not just engineers.
The seminar will dive into the specifics of some of these topics such as
insurance and investments, and will talk specifically about some important
factors that become relevant for engineers, such as the various types
of coverage offered through Engineers Canada.

Filipinas in Engineering Networking Event

As part of the 30 by 30 initiative, the Filipino Members Chapter
is having a free networking event with fellow Filipinas in engineering.
The word 'Filipinas' is a plural of 'Filipina' which means a woman of
Filipino descent. It will be a night to share stories, inspire, and empower
fellow engineers. The Filipino Members Chapter is inviting all Filipina
engineering students and Filipinas who have an engineering background to

5th Annual Global Workplace Wellness Summit
