Member Engagement Session - Future By-law Changes
Council invites all members to participate in open online engagement sessions discussing potential by-law changes for 2023. All potential changes for the by-laws stem from pending changes to The Engineering and Geoscientific Professions Act through Bill 233. An online engagement session will be held today (Thursday, February 2, 2023) from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. To participate in this online engagement session, visit the event page. New Learning Module: Authenticating Documents
Authenticating a document identifies work that has been performed by, or under, a professional and that constitutes the practice of professional engineering or professional geoscience. Learn more about how to use manual seals and digital signatures to authenticate documents, as well as best practices for when and how to seal professional work, as required by The Engineering and Geoscientific Professions Act and the by-laws. To access this new learning module and all other learning modules, log into your online profile.

Volunteer Opportunities
Registration Committee
The Registration Committee is a committee of Council, responsible for conducting the final review of applicants and interns moving forward towards final registration. The committee is currently looking for a professional geoscientist to participate in regular monthly meetings to discuss assigned files, issues, and policy development. Audit Committee
The Audit Committee is a committee of Council, that assists Council in fulfilling its' external and direct inspection monitoring of the fiscal policy, by meeting with the external auditor to review the draft Audited Financial Statements and Audit Report and provides a report back to Council. The committee is currently looking for a professional member (P.Eng. or P.Geo.) who is financially literate and has previous experience with fiscal policies, accounting systems, auditing skills, and experience in a non-profit or similar sized organization. An MBA or CPA designation is preferred, but not required. For more information on this opportunity please see the call for volunteers .

Manitoba Robot Games - Multiple Volunteers Needed
Manitoba Robot Games is hosting their 25th games on March 18, 2023, and once again they need volunteers to make the event successful. Volunteering at the Robot Games is an easy and fun way to promote science and engineering in Manitoba, help with the education of kids, and meet other professionals. Infrastructure Climate Risk Assessment: Featuring the PIEVC Process - February 14, 2023
Using Manitoba-themed example projects and case studies, and focusing on the PIEVC risk assessment process, this course will outline the main steps on conducting a climate change risk/resilience assessment on infrastructure systems and give you the opportunity to practice conducting an assessment in the case study/workshop. If you are unable to attend this course at this time, you can register for the same course that takes place on February 15, 2023 via our event listing. A Deeper Dive into Infrastructure Climate Risk Assessment: Featuring the PIEVC Process will be held on February 16, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. This course is delivered as part of the Manitoba Climate Resilience Training (MCRT) Infrastructure Project. CSSE Manitoba - Decolonizing Engineering - February 16, 2023
The Manitoba Chapter of the Canadian Society of Senior Engineers (CSSE) invites you to attend their next session, where Randy Herrmann, P.Eng., FCAE, FEC, will present on 'Decolonizing Engineering'. This is a learning opportunity for non-Indigenous engineers to broaden their insight and awareness; to incorporate Indigenous ways of being and ways of knowing, and to help create positive solutions for Indigenous communities seeking economic independence. Leveraging COR Policy to Stop Workplace Harassment - February 23, 2023
Sean Scott and Derek Pott of the Construction Safety Association of Manitoba (CSAM) will describe the Certificate of Recognition (COR) program training and audit system, including the anti-harassment and violence clauses that adhere to the Manitoba Workplace Health and Safety Act: one tool that can be leveraged to promote and enforce safe and healthy working conditions.
