Certificate of Authorization Renewals
Certificate of Authorizations are currently renewing for the period of May 1, 2023,
to April 30, 2024. Renewal notices have been mailed out to the listed authorized
designates. All companies who hold a Certificate of Authorization must submit
their renewal payment by April 10. If the company is no longer providing engineering
and/or geoscience services within the province of Manitoba, please complete and return the
cancellation form.
Renewal payments can be made
online by credit card, submitting
a cheque by mail, or by contacting the Association office by
phone at 204-474-2736.
The Our Future Campaign Launch
Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is proud to announce the launch of the new
Our Future media campaign. A presentation about the campaign and an introduction
to ENGAP was made to the students and staff of Southeast Collegiate on March 8, 2023.
The
Our Future campaign features five Indigenous engineering students, interns,
and professionals interested in improving infrastructure in Indigenous communities,
giving back, and talking about their challenges and successes on their path. It is
the hope that Indigenous young people can see themselves reflected in the educational
path and as a future engineer.

for Abstracts - 2023 Ingenium Professional Development Seminars
Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba will host its annual conference, Ingenium, in
a virtual format in October 2023. Ingenium is a premier professional
development opportunity for the engineering and geoscience community in
Manitoba, with participants representing a cross-section of the 9,200
practitioners who work in the province's private and public sectors. The
Association welcomes abstracts for presentations on any topic related to
engineering and geoscience and the professionals which practise in those
fields, for consideration for inclusion in Ingenium's Professional Development

Provincial Engineering and Geoscience Week (PEGW) - Children's Activities -

Join us at Kildonan Place to mark the 2023 Provincial Engineering & Geoscience Week
(PEGW) with fun activities to engage the next generation of engineers and geoscientists!
Children's activities running on Sunday afternoon provide kids of all ages a chance to
have some fun; from building structures out of gumdrops, to bridging a raging river using
straws, and even digging for cool rocks and building a working circuit, there's

Innovation Through Systems Thinking - Online Course -
March 15, 2023
In this course, attendees will study a formal approach to innovation based on
systems thinking. This process involves taking a more holistic view of a problem
and considering all system parts interact. The objective is to design and develop
new or improved, more efficient, effective, and sustainable systems.

Integration of the PIEVC Process into Asset Management Toolkits -

The Public Infrastructure Engineering Vulnerability Committee (PIEVC) Protocol
was developed to assist engineers in factoring climate change impacts into plans
for design, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure.
This webinar series is part of the launch of the PIEVC Practitioner's Network;
a network to create new connections among individuals and organizations and
engender a renewed sense of shared purpose for those whose day-to-day work
is to plan for and build more climate resilient infrastructure, communities,
and economies.
