2024 Awards Nominations are Open!
The Association is seeking nominations
for the 2024 Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba Awards. Honours are presented in
ten categories and recognize outstanding Manitoba engineers and geoscientists,
teams, and employers. Submit to Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba no later than
Friday, February 23, 2024. The Student Achievement Award nomination
deadline is
Friday, May 10, 2024. Detailed award descriptions and

page.
By-law Review Committee
The By-law Review Committee develops and maintains the by-laws of the Association in accordance with By-law Part XVI,
which includes engaging with stakeholders during the development process. The By-law Review Committee is
looking for a professional member (P.Eng. or P.Geo.) to join the committee for a three-year term, with preference
given to members with demonstrated governance experience. For more information, please see the full

Human Resources Committee
The Human Resources Committee receives and reviews reports from the CEO regarding the selection,
performance management, and succession planning of senior executives, and assesses human resources
related risks and provides recommendations to Council. The Human Resources Committee is looking for
a professional member (P.Eng. or P.Geo.) to join the committee for a three-year term,
with preference given to members with demonstrated Human Resources experience.

Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee is a committee of Council, which assists in identifying election candidates who meet the
criteria for new councillors as described in the Governance Policy for Councillor Roles and Job Description.
The Nominating Committee is looking for three professional members, of which one needs to be a professional geoscientist,
additionally the committee is looking for one Intern (engineering or geoscience) to join the committee for a one-year term.

Canada Green Building Council: Online Low Carbon Training Foundations Course -
December 2023 - March 2024
The Canada Green Building Council (CAGBC) is offering a free Low Carbon Training Foundations Course
to provide professionals across all industries with an introduction to important low-carbon strategies
and solutions. Over seven modules, this course will help establish a common understanding, approach,
and vocabulary that will enable collaboration across all building sector professions.
