2024 Salary Survey Now Open
The 2024 Salary Survey is now open for eligible practitioners to complete via a link in their online profile. Completing the survey provides practitioners, employers, and the public with information regarding engineers' and geoscientists' salaries and benefits in the Province of Manitoba. This information assists Association practitioners in understanding their compensation with respect to the local marketplace and enables comparisons with data from other practitioners. Engineered Roof Truss and Floor Joists in Part 9 Buildings Under the Manitoba Building Code
This is a bulletin prepared by Inspection and Technical Services Manitoba (ITS) in coordination with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba. Its purpose is to clarify the Manitoba Building Code administrative documentation requirements for engineered roof trusses and floor joists in Part 9 buildings that are required to be designed by a professional engineer. Certificate of Authorization Renewal Reminder
Certificate of Authorizations are currently renewing for the period of May 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026: Thank you to those who have already renewed. Renewal notices have been mailed out to the listed authorized designates. All companies who hold a Certificate of Authorization must submit their renewal payment by April 30, 2025. If the company is no longer providing engineering and/or geoscience services within the province of Manitoba, please complete and return the cancellation form. Renewal payments can be made online by credit card, submitting a cheque by mail, or by contacting the Association office by phone at (204) 474-2736. Renewal stickers will be mailed out at the end of April.

Volunteer Opportunities
Manitoba Association of Landscape Architects (MALA) - Board Member
MALA is seeking a new board member to serve as a community-at-large representative. This position plays a vital role in ensuring consumer protection by bringing an external perspective (non-landscape architectural) to our council's discussions and decision-making. Board meetings are held virtually on the second last Friday of each month, with no meeting during the summer. For more information or to submit your interest please contact, MALA@MALA.net

Volunteer Applications are Now Open for the 2025/2026 Engineer in Residence (EIR) Program
Engineers of Tomorrow is now welcoming applications for the Engineer in Residence Program for 2025/2026. The EIR program is an engineering outreach program, reaching K - 12 students. The volunteer EIR brings real-life dimension to the curriculum, using hands-on projects, presentations, and other activities in the classroom.
