The Eighth Annual MLA Reception
On Thursday, May 15, 2025, Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba hosted its eighth annual MLA Reception in Winnipeg. This event provided an excellent opportunity for numerous insightful dialogues about the engineering and geoscientific professions. The annual MLA Reception is a cornerstone event for the members of the Association, including the Council, and chapter and committee members. EngGeoMB Learning Modules Available
Did you know that you can access seven free professional development learning modules through your online member profile? Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba has created modules on topics such as Environment and Sustainability and Conflicts of Interest. Completion of these modules counts towards your ProDev hours by accessing your online member profile.

Bike to Work Week 2025
This year, Bike to Work Week runs from June 8 - 14. Join EngGeoMB and Dillon Consulting at their co-hosted pit stop on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. The pitstop will be at the end of Harrow Steet where the multi-use path extends down to the Jubilee underpass path (across Pembina Hwy from the Association office), from 6:30 - 9:00 a.m. For more information, please see the Bike Week Winnipeg website.

Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba Family Legacy Bursary Draw
EngGeoMB is now accepting applications for the 2025 Family Legacy Bursary Draw. Five bursary prizes are given to the children of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba members. Applicants must be enrolled full time in first-year engineering or geoscience studies. The application deadline is September 1, 2025. For eligibility criteria and how to apply, please see the application form.

Academic Review Committee - Multiple Positions
Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is establishing an Academic Review Committee (ARC) as part of anticipated updates to academic criteria and the academic assessment program in the Manual of Admissions, expected to come into effect July 1, 2025, and will support and provide recommendations to the Registration Committee in determining if first-time applicants for enrolment as an intern are academically qualified. The committee requires professional members (P.Eng. or P.Geo.) who are in good standing with the Association, compliant with ProDev, and who have an awareness of current academic requirements, practice standards, employer contexts, and workplace cultures, in either engineering or geoscience.
