2026 Student Achievement Award - Nominating Period Closes Next Week
Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is seeking nominations for the 2026 Student Achievement Award, which is intended to recognize an undergraduate engineering or geoscience student or group of students who have shown excellence in, and/or major contributions to, the concept/design of a groundbreaking engineering or geoscience project/thesis. Call for Abstracts: 2026 Ingenium Professional Development Seminars
Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba will host its annual conference, Ingenium, in a virtual format in November 2026. The Association welcomes abstracts for presentations on any topic related to engineering and geoscience and the professionals which practise in those fields, for consideration for inclusion in the Ingenium Professional Development Seminars. Public Review of Proposed Changes to the 2025 National Model Codes
The Canadian Board for Harmonized Construction Codes (CBHCC) has opened the first public review of proposed changes to the 2025 National Model Codes, and engineers, geoscientists, and other code users are encouraged to participate. This public review covers proposed updates on a wide range of topics, including prescriptive energy efficiency requirements for demonstrating compliance with Energy Performance Tier 2. CBA Competency Interpretation Statements for Engineering and Geoscience
The Association has released a new resource for applicants in the Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) process. The CBA Interpretation Statements for Engineering and Geoscience are intended to assist applicants when preparing their competency self-assessments by providing clarity on the evidence needed to demonstrate readiness for professional registration and licensure. Did you know that you can access eight free professional development learning modules through your online member profile? Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba has created modules on topics such as Good Character, Authenticating Documents, Environment and Sustainability, and so much more! Completion of these modules counts towards your ProDev hours by accessing your online member profile.
