Making Links Engineering Classic (MLEC) 2026
On Thursday, June 18, the 2026 Making Links Engineering Classic golf tournament was held at Quarry Oaks in Steinbach. This year, we were excited to welcome more than 200 golfers for a great day out on the course where they joined us on the links for golf, prizes, and an opportunity to network with fellow professionals. We want to give a big thank you to our incredible sponsors for helping make this event possible and for supporting future engineering students at the University of Manitoba! International Women in Engineering Day 2026
International Women in Engineering Day, brought to you by Women's Engineering Society (WES), will celebrate its 13th year on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. This year, INWED's theme is Engineering Intelligence, and will be once again promoting the amazing work that women engineers across the globe are doing. Affiliation with an Association Chapter
Did you know that all professional members and interns can affiliate with one of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba's recognized chapters? You can select a chapter through your online member profile at any time. Chapter affiliation is not limited by ethnicity or location; all practitioners are welcome to join any chapter that aligns with their interests or values. Chapters offer opportunities for networking, mutual support, and community engagement. Choose a chapter and get involved today!

Volunteer Opportunity
The Investigation Committee
The Investigation Committee reviews complaints regarding member conduct, recommends disciplinary actions when appropriate, and provides guidance on standards of professional practice and conduct. The committee is currently seeking a professional engineer (P.Eng.) with experience in structural engineering to join its membership. For more information, please read the full volunteer call.

In celebration of INWED 2026, join Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba for a panel discussion featuring past members from the original Committee for Increasing the Participation of Women in Engineering (CIPWIE). Featured panelists are Lindsay Melvin, P.Eng., Andrea Watts, P.Eng., Nusraat Masood, EIT, and Neemee Batstone, P.Eng.
