This Notice is provided in accordance with Section 36.2(1) of The Engineering and Geoscientific Professions Act. This is Notice that on June 1, 2026, a professional member was formally cautioned by the Association's Investigation Committee. The Formal Caution relates to the member's involvement in issuing a Site Review Summary for a private residence in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Volunteer Call: Ingenium Task Group
Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is seeking one volunteer (P.Geo. or GIT; senior members are also welcome to apply) to join the Ingenium Task Group. Help shape the professional development program for the annual Ingenium Conference by suggesting technical topics, identifying potential speakers, and optionally moderating conference sessions. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the profession, support continuing professional development, and earn ProDev hours. The estimated time commitment is 2 - 3 hours per month. Online Learning Modules: Introduction to Professionalism
E-learning modules provide practitioners with guidance on the standards of practice that is expected of professional engineers and professional geoscientists in Manitoba. Check out this module and more, available in your online profile. Introduction to Professionalism
The introductory module takes a look at professionalism at the highest level. Users will gain a better understanding of the initial registration requirements, and continuous professional practice responsibilities. These concepts will help practitioners answer the fundamental question, "How do I avoid being found guilty of professional misconduct?"

Free National Energy Code for Buildings (NECB) Training
Manitoba's building codes are advancing to higher energy performance tiers, and the Codes Acceleration Project is offering free, one-day training to help you get ahead of it. You're already modelling to code. The performance path and reporting requirements are where the details actually change. This course covers how proposed and reference energy models are built and compared, what a defensible NECB report needs by discipline, and how Tier 1 baseline requirements shift between the 2020 and 2025 codes.
