Join Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba's Director, Equity and Representation, Lisa Stepnuk, EIT, for this one-hour virtual session which will:

explore some of the research on intersectional gender biases that exist in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) education e.g. early gender gaps in math and English

present some Manitoba statistics on gender ratio imbalance in engineering and its high school pre-requisites

offer doable, concrete opportunities to counter bias

This session will be valuable for any educators or counsellors, as well as professionals working in the engineering field who have contact with students, especially those working in a voluntary role within a school environment.

This virtual session will take place on Zoom and the access link will be emailed out the afternoon of May 31. A recording will be sent to all registrants following the event.
