Council Election Results for 2023

The 2023 Council election was the thirteenth to be conducted online. There were 6689 eligible members who had access to vote during the period, and 989 of them participated (14.8%). There were 2612 eligible interns, with 377 intern ballots received (14.4%). There were no paper ballot packages requested or received.

P.Eng.

The following professional engineers were elected for two year terms:

  • Mike Houvardas, P.Eng.
  • Steven Wu, P.Eng., FEC

P.Geo.

The following professional geoscientist was elected by aclamation for a two year term:

  • Carol Martiniuk, P.Geo.(SM)

Intern

The following intern representative was elected for a two year term:

  • Kyle Ward, EIT

By-law Proposals and Petitions

There were 885 ballots submitted (13.2%) regarding the proposed By-law changes.

  • Omnibus Proposal to support the recent Act Changes
    Result: PASS (For: 691, Against: 55, Abstain: 139)
